Finishing the round robin in second place, the Queens County Cougars faced the host Cole Harbour Wings in the semi-final on Saturday evening at Cole Harbour Place.

And just like a fairytale — O Captain! My Captain! — Corbin Anthony hammered home the OT winner on a beautiful feed by Oscar Kent sending Queens roaring into the finals to face the Shediac/Cap-Pele Predators from New Brunswick.

On Sunday, the fairytale continued. The Cougars and Predators battled hard for two periods with no score and two minutes into the third, Kylin Harlow jammed in a second effort that proved to be the game winner.  A huge shutout performance by underage rookie goaltender, Wesley Roy and timely face-off wins by Brent Tutty in the dying seconds closed off the 1-0 victory for the Cougars.
